Aka known as the apartment hostel, with an idiot acting at the main warden.

Here's the scenario,

A friend of mine and I wanted to study outside where the environment suits our study needs, so the place is known as the study area, ( first step to studying is to find a good study place), however due to the idiotic curfew which is at 12, we cannot stay outside long enough to achieve our study targets, as the SUN-U residence is not a good place to study, the tables are too small, the living room is super hot even at night, and there are always people hogging the place, and the hostel study room just doesn't do the job. So we decided to stay back till 6am, when the gates are open. However at 4sth, we were too tired and achieved our study target, we decided to go back… but because we didn't have the LATE NIGHT PASS so we had to fill in the form and give our hostel card to the guards (which reason I find incredibly unreasonable).

When I got the card back, I got the 1^st warning letter, which states, " hostelites should return to the Hostel by midnight on weekdays…bla…bla…bla… provided he/she has a late night pass. The late night pass is AVAILABLE at the Hostel Management Office during office hours" [omg I just spotted an English usage error!]

So when I read it, I thought hey… late night pass. SO I went to try to apply for it, this idiot Management warden dude, told me, I cannot get the pass because I want to study outside. Then WHAT THE HECK DOES THIS LATE NIGHT PASS THING DO? So I asked him, why cannot? He said because if they give the late night pass, and if anything happens, they would get in trouble with it. Hence they don't want to give it. Then I argued, if I stayed outside till 6am, wouldn't that be more dangerous? Why stop us from going back to the hostel, isn't going back at 3am more safe than going back at 6am, since I am technically out in the danger zone 3 more extra hours? Plus the danger time are usually after 3am… cos that's when the clubs closes and people leave to go home. Then aren't we more alone and hence in a more dangerous state? What nonsense is he sprouting by saying they would get in trouble if we get in trouble? SO if I get robbed and raped or kidnapped at 4am, because they refused to give the late night pass, then wouldn't they be in MORE trouble with the authorities and with MY PARENTS because they refused me to go back at 3am thus causing me to be kidnapped/robbed/raped?!

 

If you don't want to give it to any students, THEN WHY CREATE IT IN A FIRST PLACE?! .Insert curse word here.

 

Okay im not angry enough to write an anger-filled post. Damn.
